There is a simple pleasure - a feeling of serenity, that comes with being outdoors - being one with nature, surrounded by the tranquility of the woods. I was extremely fortunate to be born and raised in Jackson, NJ - surrounded by an amazing landscape. Perhaps, this is where my inspiration and connection to nature began.
Growing up, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the construction industry, following in my father’s and grandfather’s footsteps. I remember being five years old and wearing a tool belt on a job site, able to learn from the best. Not only did my family teach me skills allowing me to become proficient in this industry, but they also instilled the concept of making the impossible… possible.
Fast forward 20+ years later. I am able to do what I love - incorporate my passion for nature with my unique desire to stand-out and be a little different in building one-of-a-kind, luxury, resort-style homes. Stepping into a Shawn Ryan Luxury Home is like embracing serenity wrapped with every amenity you can dream of.
I like new challenges - especially, the challenge of doing something that hasn’t been done before. While some builders offer little wiggle room with options, mine are endless. If it’s important to my client, then it becomes important to me. Let’s create a backyard oasis or family theme park. Why not envision a sports arena with an outdoor basketball court, tennis court, batting cage or putting greens; or an indoor movie theater, gym or dance studio. On a personal note, I believe in giving back to the community - everyone can make a difference. In 2013, I teamed up with the Ocean County prosecutor’s office to start a non-profit organization, Project Lazarus NJ, to raise awareness and funding for the opioid crisis. In addition, I believe it is vital to have strong work ethics and moral principles in place to promote relationships with family, friends and clients.
